YOU-EU – Young Europeans: Education for Democracy and Sustainability is a Jean Monnet Learning EU initiative of the Erasmus+ programme, implemented by the 1st Lyceum of Spata, Attica, Greece (2025–2028).
About the project
The project brings systematic, active and critical learning about the European Union into an upper secondary school. Students explore EU history, values, institutions and policies through simulations, debates, policy labs, data-based research and a digital exhibition. We do not promote a single view: we learn, discuss with arguments and form our own opinions.
Three pillars
- Democracy – institutions, rights and participation.
- Sustainability – the European Green Deal, climate and a just transition.
- Digital citizenship – disinformation, data and artificial intelligence.
